بَابُ مَا وَرَدَ فِي طَهَارَةِ الْمَنِيِّ وَحُكْمِهِ رَطْبًا وَيَابِسًا
Chapter on what is reported about the purity of semen and its ruling when wet and dry
Hadith 447
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَرْبِيُّ ، نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ الأَزْهَرِ ، نا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الأَزْرَقُ ، نا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْمَنِيِّ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ ، قَالَ : إِنَّمَا هُوَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْمُخَاطِ وَالْبُزَاقِ ، وَإِنَّمَا يَكْفِيكَ أَنْ تَمْسَحَهُ بِخِرْقَةٍ أَوْ بِإِذْخِرَةٍ " . لَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ إِسْحَاقُ الأَزْرَقُ ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، ثِقَةٌ فِي حِفْظِهِ شَيْءٌ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was asked about semen getting on clothes, so he said: "It is like mucus and saliva; it will be sufficient for you to clean it with a piece of cloth or grass." Only the narrator named Ishaq has transmitted this narration as a "marfu‘" (attributed directly to the Prophet) narration.
Hadith 448
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نا الْحَسَّانِيُّ ، نا وَكِيعٌ ، نا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، فِي " الْمَنِيِّ يُصِيبُ الثَّوْبَ ، قَالَ : إِنَّمَا هُوَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ النُّخَامَةِ وَالْبُزَاقِ أَمِطْهُ عَنْكَ بِإِذْخِرَةٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding semen getting on clothes: He said: "It is like phlegm and saliva, you should clean it with grass."
Hadith 449
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ ، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ، نا بِشْرُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، نا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ أَفْرُكُ الْمَنِيَّ مِنْ ثَوْبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانَ يَابِسًا ، وَأَغْسِلُهُ إِذَا كَانَ رَطْبًا " .
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I used to scrape semen off the garment of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when it was dry, and if it was wet, I would wash it.
Hadith 450
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، نا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي الزَّرْقَاءِ ، نا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " إِنْ كُنْتُ لأَتْبَعُهُ مِنْ ثَوْبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَغْسِلُهُ " . صَحِيحٌ.
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: If I saw a (semen) stain on the garment of the Prophet (peace be upon him), I would wash it off. This narration is authentic.
Hadith 451
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ صَاعِدٍ ، نا أَبُو الأَشْعَثِ ، نا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، نا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَصَابَ ثَوْبَهُ مَنِيٌّ غَسَلَهُ ، ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ إِلَى الصَّلاةِ وَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بُقْعَةٍ مِنْ أَثَرِ الْغُسْلِ فِي ثَوْبِهِ " . صَحِيحٌ.
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When semen would get on the clothes of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), he would wash it off and then go for prayer, while I could see the marks of washing on his clothes.
Hadith 452
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ الْحَنَّاطُ ، نا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ أَبِي إِسْرَائِيلَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُتَوَكِّلُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفُضَيْلِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْقَلُوصِ عَمْرَةَ الْغَاضِرِيَّةِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لا يَرَى عَلَى الثَّوْبِ جَنَابَةً ، وَلا الأَرْضِ جَنَابَةً ، وَلا يُجَنِّبُ الرَّجُلُ الرَّجُلَ " . لا يُثْبَتُ هَذَا ، أُمُّ الْقَلُوصِ ، لا تُثْبَتُ بِهَا حُجَّةٌ.
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to believe: "Clothes do not become impure due to janabah, the earth does not become impure due to janabah, and no person makes another person impure due to janabah." This narration is not established; the woman named Umm Qulus, who is a narrator of this narration, has not been considered reliable.
