بَابٌ فِي نَضْحِ الْمَاءِ عَلَى الْفَرَجِ بَعْدَ الْوُضُوءِ
Chapter on sprinkling water on the private part after ablution
Hadith 390
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْبَغَوِيُّ ، قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ ، حَدَّثَكُمْ كَامِلُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ أَبُو يَحْيَى الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، نا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، نا عُقَيْلُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " أَنَّ جَبْرَائِيلَ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَتَاهُ فِي أَوَّلِ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْهِ ، فَأَرَاهُ الْوُضُوءَ وَالصَّلاةَ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ أَخَذَ حَفْنَةً مِنَ الْمَاءِ فَنَضَحَ بِهَا فَرْجَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his father Sayyiduna Zaid bin Haritha (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): When the first revelation descended upon him, around that time, Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to him and demonstrated to him the method of performing ablution and prayer. When he completed the ablution, he took water in his palm and sprinkled it on his private part.
Hadith 391
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْكَاتِبُ ، نا حَمْدَانَ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، نا هَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ ، نا رِشْدِينُ ، عَنْ عَقِيلٍ ، وَقُرَّةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ زَيْدٍ " أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ لَمَّا نزل عَلَى النَّبِيِّ أَرَاهُ الْوُضُوءَ ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ وُضُوئِهِ أَخَذَ حَفْنَةً مِنَ الْمَاءِ فَرَشَّ بِهَا فِي الْفَرْجِ " .
Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When Jibril (peace be upon him) descended upon the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), in the early days, he demonstrated the method of ablution to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When he completed the ablution, he took some water in his palm and sprinkled it over his private part.
