Hadith 275
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rinsing the mouth and putting water into the nose are such parts of ablution that are obligatory."
Hadith 276
The same narration is transmitted with another chain, however, in it are these words: "This is such a part of ablution that without it, ablution is not complete." In narrating this hadith, the narrator named ‘Isam is unique, and he has made an error regarding this. The correct narration is the one which the narrator Ibn Jurayj has transmitted from Salman bin Musa as a "mursal" hadith, in which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution should rinse his mouth and put water into his nose." Imam Daraqutni states: I think that the narrator named ‘Isam narrated this hadith from his memory, and this matter became confused for him, and the chain of this narration became doubtful to him, which is transmitted from Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), in which he said: "Any woman whose marriage is contracted without the permission of her guardian, her marriage is invalid."
Hadith 277
As for the narration transmitted by Ibn Jurayj from Sulayman bin Musa regarding rinsing the mouth and sniffing water into the nose, it is as follows: Ibn Jurayj reports: Sulayman bin Musa stated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution should rinse his mouth and sniff water into his nose."
Hadith 278
Sulaiman bin Musa narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution should rinse his mouth and inhale water into his nose."
Hadith 279

Sulaiman bin Musa narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution should rinse his mouth and inhale water into his nose."
Hadith 280
Sulaiman bin Musa al-Shami narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said this, and then the hadith continues as previously mentioned.
Hadith 281
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution should rinse his mouth and put water into his nose." The narrator of this narration, Muhammad bin Azhar, is weak and this narration is incorrect; the previously mentioned "mursal" narration is more authentic. And Allah knows best.
Hadith 282
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Rinsing the mouth and putting water into the nose (during ablution) is Sunnah.” The narrator of this narration, Ismail bin Muslim, is “weak.”
Hadith 283
It is narrated about Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani, may Allah be pleased with him: One day he called for water for ablution and then invited some individuals from among the companions of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Then he poured water with his right hand onto his left hand and washed it three times. He rinsed his mouth three times, then put water into his nose, then washed his face three times, then washed both his arms up to the elbows three times each, then wiped his head, then washed both his feet and cleaned them thoroughly. Then he stated: "I saw the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, perform ablution in the same manner as you have just seen me perform ablution. Then the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'Whoever performs ablution and perfects his ablution, then after that offers two units of prayer, regarding his sins he becomes like the day his mother gave birth to him.'"
Hadith 284
Busr bin Sa'id narrates: Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) came to "Maqa'id", he asked for water for ablution, rinsed his mouth, then put water in his nose, then washed his face three times, then washed both arms three times each, then washed his feet three times each, then wiped his head and said: "I remember this about the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he performed ablution in this manner." Then Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) addressed those present and said: "O people! Is it like this?" So those people replied: "Yes!" This was said by some of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who were present there at that time. This narration is authentic, however, the delay in wiping the head is not preserved. One narrator is unique in transmitting this, while other narrators have transmitted it with their own chain of narration. All the narrators have transmitted this: Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) washed all the limbs three times each, then stated: "I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing ablution in this manner." These narrators did not transmit anything further besides this. Contrary to this, a narrator named Waki' transmitted with his chain from Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) washed each limb three times in ablution. Some other narrators have also transmitted it in this regard.
Hadith 285
Abu Anas reports: On one occasion, Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) performed ablution in a gathering, and at that time some of the noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) were present with him. Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) washed each limb three times, and then asked: "Did you not see the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing ablution in this manner?" So they replied: "Yes!" This narration is also transmitted with another chain of transmission.
Hadith 286

Abu Wa'il narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) perform ablution; he washed both hands three times, then washed his face three times, then rinsed his mouth three times, put water into his nose three times, then washed both arms three times, then wiped his head and the outer and inner parts of both ears, and then washed both feet three times. Then he interlaced his fingers, and when he washed his face, he also combed through his beard with his fingers three times. Then Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) stated: "I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) perform (ablution) in the same manner as you have seen me perform (ablution)." This narration is transmitted with these very words; however, in this narration, at one point the narrator made a mistake, because the mention of starting the ablution is from washing the face, and this washing of the face is before rinsing the mouth and putting water into the nose, whereas the narrator named Abdur Rahman has transmitted this narration with the same chain, and in it, the mention of starting the ablution is with rinsing the mouth and putting water into the nose, and this act is before washing the face.
Hadith 287

Shaqiq bin Salamah narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) perform ablution; first he washed both hands three times, then rinsed his mouth and put water into his nose, doing this three times, then washed his face three times, washed both arms three times, then wiped his head and then wiped the inner and outer parts of both ears, he combed through his beard three times and then washed both feet, and also combed through the toes of his feet three times, and he stated: "I saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) perform ablution in the same way as I have done." The wording of both narrations is nearly identical.
