بَابُ الْحَثِّ عَلَى التَّسْمِيَةِ ابْتِدَاءُ الطَّهَارَةِ
Chapter on encouraging saying Bismillah at the start of purification
Hadith 256
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَامِدٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، نا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا صَلاةَ لِمَنْ لا وُضُوءَ لَهُ ، وَلا وُضُوءَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The prayer of the one who does not have ablution is not valid, and the ablution of the one who does not recite 'Bismillah' at the beginning is not valid."
Hadith 257
نا أحْمَدُ بْنُ كَامِلٍ ، نا موسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ، ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ ، نا محَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْمَخْزُومِيُّ ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ مِثْلَهُ.
This narration is also transmitted with another chain of transmission.
