بَابُ الْآسَارِ
Chapter on traces (of impurity)
Hadith 175
نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْفَارِسِيُّ ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ بِمَا أَفْضَلَتِ السِّبَاعُ " . إِبْرَاهِيمُ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي يَحْيَى ضَعِيفٌ ، وَتَابَعَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ ، وَلَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ فِي الْحَدِيثِ.
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution with water left by predatory animals. The narrator of this narration is Ibrahim bin Abi Yahya, who is weak. This same narration is transmitted with another chain of narration.
Hadith 176
نا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، نا الشَّافِعِيُّ ، نا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ بِمَا أَفْضَلَتِ الْحُمُرُ ؟ قَالَ : " وَبِمَا أَفْضَلَتِ السِّبَاعُ " . ابْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ ضَعِيفٌ أَيْضًا ، وَهُوَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Can we perform ablution with the stagnant water left by donkeys?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Perform (ablution) with the water left by predatory animals as well." The narrator of this narration, Ibn Abi Habibah, is weak; his name is Ibrahim bin Ismail bin Abu Habibah.
Hadith 177
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَهْلِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ ، نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْحَرْبِيُّ ، قَالَ : وَحَدَّثَ الشَّافِعِيُّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبَةَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، بِهَذَا نَحْوَهُ.
This same narration is also transmitted with another chain from Dawud bin Husayn.
Hadith 178
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الْحَنَّانِيُّ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَتَّابٍ ، نا أَبُو كَامِلٍ ، نا يُوسُفُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ السَّمْتِيُّ ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " ثَمَنُ الْكَلْبِ خَبِيثٌ ، وَهُوَ أَخْبَثُ مِنْهُ " . يُوسُفُ السَّمْتِيُّ ضَعِيفٌ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The price of a dog is impure, and the dog itself is even more impure than that." The narrator of this narration, Yusuf Samti, is weak.
Hadith 179
ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، نا أَبُو النَّضْرِ ، نا عِيسَى بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْتِي دَارَ قَوْمٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ وَدُونَهُمْ دَارٌ فَيَشُقُّ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ ، فَقَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ تَأْتِي دَارَ فُلانٍ وَلا تَأْتِي دَارَنَا ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لأَنَّ فِي دَارِكُمْ كَلْبًا " . قَالُوا : فَإِنَّ فِي دَارِهِمْ سِنَّوْرًا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " السِّنَّوْرُ سَبْعٌ " . تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ عِيسَى بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، وَهُوَ صَالِحُ الْحَدِيثِ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to the house of some Ansar, but did not go to the houses that were before theirs. This was displeasing to those people, so they said: "O Messenger of Allah! You went to so-and-so's house but did not come to our house?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The reason is: there is a dog in your house." They said: "There is a cat in their house." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The cat is included among the beasts." In narrating this report, the narrator named Isa bin Musayyib is unique, and he is reliable in transmitting hadith.
Hadith 180
نا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، وَثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، نا وَكِيعٌ ، جَمِيعًا ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " السِّنَّوْرُ سَبْعٌ " . وَقَالَ وَكِيعٌ : الْهِرُّ سَبْعٌ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The cat is a predator." In one narration, the word "al-hirr" is used for the cat.
