Hadith 131
نا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْقَاضِي ، نا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، وَجَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، وَاللَّفْظُ لِيَزِيدَ ، أنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنَ وَقَّاصٍ ، يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّمَا الأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّةِ وَإِنَّمَا لامْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى فَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَمَنْ كَانَتْ هِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى دُنْيَا يُصِيبُهَا أَوِ امْرَأَةٍ يَتَزَوَّجُهَا فَهِجْرَتُهُ إِلَى مَا هَاجَرَ إِلَيْهِ " .
Alqamah bin Waqas narrates: He heard Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) saying, he said: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: “Actions are judged by intentions, and every person will get what he intended. So whoever migrated for Allah and His Messenger, his migration will be for Allah and His Messenger. And whoever migrated for worldly gain to acquire it, or for a woman to marry her, then his migration will be for that for which he migrated.”
Hadith 132
نا نا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبَزَّازُ ، ثنا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ الرَّازِيُّ ، ثنا الْحَجَبِيُّ ، ح وَنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ الْحَجَبِيُّ ، نا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ غَسَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يُجَاءُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِصُحُفٍ مُخْتَمَةٍ فَتُنْصَبُ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، فَيَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِمَلائِكَتِهِ : أَلْقُوا هَذَا وَاقْبَلُوا هَذَا ، فَتَقُولُ الْمَلائِكَةُ : وَعِزَّتِكَ مَا رَأَيْنَا إِلا خَيْرًا ، فَيَقُولُ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ : إِنَّ هَذَا كَانَ لِغَيْرِي ، وَلا أَقْبَلُ الْيَوْمَ مِنَ الْعَمَلِ إِلا مَا كَانَ ابْتُغِيَ بِهِ وَجْهِي " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, some scrolls will be brought, which will be sealed. They will be placed before Allah Almighty, and Allah will say to His angels: 'Put them aside!' The angels will say: 'By Your honor! We saw nothing but good in them.' Allah Almighty will say—though He knows best—'All these deeds were done for others. Today, I will only accept those deeds which were done solely for My pleasure.'"
Hadith 133
نا نا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ صَاعِدٍ ، وَجَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ الصَّنْدَلِيُّ ، قَالا : نا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُجَشِّرٍ ، نا عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ رُفَيْعٍ ، وَغَيْرُهُ عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْفِهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، يَقُولُ : أَنَا خَيْرُ شَرِيكٍ فَمَنْ أَشْرَكَ مَعِيَ شَرِيكًا فَهُوَ لِشَرِيكِي يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَخْلِصُوا أَعْمَالَكُمْ لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَقْبَلُ إِلا مَا أُخْلِصَ لَهُ ، وَلا تَقُولُوا : هَذَا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّحِمِ ، فَإِنَّهَا لِلرَّحِمِ وَلَيْسَ لِلَّهِ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ ، وَلا تَقُولُوا : هَذَا لِلَّهِ وَلِوُجُوهِكُمْ ، فَإِنَّهَا لِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَلَيْسَ لِلَّهِ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ " .
Sayyiduna Dhuhaak bin Qays Fihri رضي الله عنه narrates: The Noble Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: Allah Almighty says: “I am free from any partner, so whoever associates anyone with Me, that deed will be for My partner (i.e., that person will seek his reward from that partner).” (The Noble Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:) “O people! Make your deeds sincere for Allah! Because Allah Almighty will accept only that deed which is purely for Him, and do not say: this is for Allah Almighty and this is for the sake of kinship. The reason is: it will be for the sake of kinship, it will have nothing to do with Allah Almighty. And do not say: this is for Allah Almighty and this is for your sake, because it will be for your sake only, it will have nothing to do with Allah Almighty.”
