Abu Burdah narrates: Once, my father (Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari, may Allah be pleased with him) and I went to the service of Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said to us: "The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade drinking or eating anything in gold or silver vessels, and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the use of Qassi, Meizah, and silk garments (which are different types of silk), and from wearing gold rings."
