حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثنا أَبُو يَحْيَى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ ، ثنا مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ السَّلامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُمَيْسٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ " أَنَّهُ حِينَ رَأَى الأَذَانَ أَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِلالا فَأَذَّنَ ، وَأَمَرَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ فَأَقَامَ " .
Abdullah bin Muhammad narrates from his father, from his grandfather (Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid, may Allah be pleased with him): When he saw the method of the adhan in a dream, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), so he gave the adhan. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him), so he gave the iqamah.
