ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ التُّبَّعِيُّ ، ثنا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ شِمْرٍ ، ثنا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سُوَيْدَ بْنَ غَفَلَةَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، يَقُولُ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُنَا أَنْ نُرَتِّلَ الأَذَانَ وَنَحْذِفَ الإِقَامَةَ " .
Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) instructed us: "We should deliver the adhan with pauses, and recite the words of iqamah quickly."
