بَابُ تَحْرِيمِ دِمَائِهِمْ وَأَمْوَالِهِمْ إِذَا يَشْهَدُوا بِالشَّهَادَتَيْنِ وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَChapter on the sanctity of their blood and wealth if they testify to the two testimonies, establish prayer, and give zakat

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَرْعَرَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي حَرَمِيُّ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ ، نا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ وَاقِدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَشْهَدُوا أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ ، فَإِذَا فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلا بِحَقِّ الإِسْلامِ ، وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no deity except Allah, establish prayer, and pay zakat. When they do this, they will protect their blood and their wealth from me, except for the right of Islam, and their reckoning will be with Allah."
