بَابُ تَحْرِيمِ دِمَائِهِمْ وَأَمْوَالِهِمْ إِذَا يَشْهَدُوا بِالشَّهَادَتَيْنِ وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَChapter on the sanctity of their blood and wealth if they testify to the two testimonies, establish prayer, and give zakat

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ حَتَّى يَشْهَدُوا أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ، فَإِذَا شَهِدُوا أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَصَلُّوا صَلاتَنَا وَاسْتَقْبَلُوا قِبْلَتَنَا وَأَكَلُوا ذَبَائِحَنَا ؛ حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْنَا أَمْوَالُهُمْ وَدِمَاؤُهُمْ إِلا بِحَقِّهَا ، وَلَهُمْ مَا لِلْمُسْلِمِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ مَا عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been commanded to fight against the polytheists until they bear witness that there is no deity except Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah. When they bear witness that there is no deity except Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah, perform our prayers, face our Qiblah, and eat from our slaughtered animals, then their wealth and blood will become forbidden for us. However, their rights will remain: they will receive everything that a Muslim receives, and everything that is obligatory upon a Muslim will be obligatory upon them."
