Hadith 847

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَامِدٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَنَسٍ الشَّامِيُّ ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الأَسْقَعِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَقَلُّ الْحَيْضِ ثَلاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ ، وَأَكْثَرَهُ عَشَرَةُ أَيَّامٍ " . ابْنُ مِنْهَالٍ مَجْهُولٌ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ضَعِيفٌ.
Sayyiduna Wathilah bin Asqa’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The minimum duration of menstruation is three days and the maximum duration is ten days.” The narrator of this report, Hammad bin Minhal, is unknown, while Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Anas is weak.
