حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، نا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، أنا حَسَّانُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْكَرْمَانِيُّ ، أنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ ، عَنِ الْعَلاءِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ مَكْحُولا ، يَقُولُ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لا يَكُونُ الْحَيْضُ لِلْجَارِيَةِ وَالثَّيِّبِ الَّتِي قَدْ أَيِسَتْ مِنَ الْحَيْضِ أَقَلَّ مِنْ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ وَلا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ عَشَرَةِ أَيَّامٍ ، فَإِذَا رَأَتِ الدَّمَ فَوْقَ عَشَرَةِ أَيَّامٍ فَهِيَ مُسْتَحَاضَةٌ فَمَا زَادَ عَلَى أَيَّامِ أَقْرَائِهَا قَضَتْ ، وَدَمُ الْحَيْضِ أَسْوَدُ خَاثِرٌ تَعْلُوهُ حُمْرَةٌ ، وَدَمُ الْمُسْتَحَاضَةِ أَصْفَرُ رَقِيقٌ فَإِنْ غَلَبَهَا فَلْتَحْتَشِي كُرْسُفًا ، فَإِنْ غَلَبَهَا فَلْتُعْلِيهَا بِأُخْرَى ، فَإِنْ غَلَبَهَا فِي الصَّلاةِ فَلا تَقْطَعِ الصَّلاةَ وَإِنْ قَطَرَ " . لا يُثْبَتُ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ ، وَالْعَلاءُ ضَعِيفَانِ ، وَمَكْحُولٌ لا يُثْبَتُ سَمَاعُهُ.
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The menstruation of a young girl and a woman who has despaired of menstruation will not be less than three days, nor more than ten days. If she sees blood even after ten days, then that woman will be considered mustahadah (experiencing non-menstrual bleeding). For the days exceeding her specific (menstrual) days, she will make up (the prayers missed during) them." (The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said:) "The blood of menstruation is black and thick, in which redness predominates, whereas the blood of istihada is yellow and thin. If more blood is discharged, she should use cotton. If it is even more, she should use some bandage, etc. If it is discharged even during prayer, the woman should not leave the prayer even if drops are dripping from her." This narration is not established. Two of its narrators, Abdul Malik and Alaa, are both weak, and the hearing of the narrator named Mak'hool is not established.
