Hadith 839

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ صَاعِدٍ ، نا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ شَاهِينَ أَبُو بِشْرٍ ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ ، قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ اسْتُحِيضَتْ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، قَالَ : " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ هَذَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَلْتَجْلِسْ فِي مِرْكَنٍ " ، فَجَلَسَتْ فِيهِ حَتَّى رَأَتِ الصُّفْرَةَ فَوْقَ الْمَاءِ ، فَقَالَ : " تَغْتَسِلُ لِلظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ غُسْلا وَاحِدًا ، ثُمَّ تَغْتَسِلُ لِلْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ غُسْلا وَاحِدًا ، ثُمَّ تَغْتَسِلُ لِلْفَجْرِ غُسْلا وَاحِدًا ، ثُمَّ تَتَوَضَّأُ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ " .
Lady Asma bint Umais (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh has been suffering from prolonged bleeding (istihada) for a long time." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Glory be to Allah! This is from Shaytan. She should sit in a large vessel." When the woman sat in it, the yellowness of her menstrual blood became predominant. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She should perform ghusl once for Zuhr and Asr, and once for Maghrib and Isha, then perform a separate ghusl for Fajr, and perform wudu in between."
