Imam Abu Dawood says: The hadith narrated from A’mash indicates its weakness. It is as follows: A narrator named Hafs has narrated it as a mawquf narration from A’mash and has denied that it is marfu‘, and has also denied that it mentions performing wudu for every prayer. It also indicates the weakness of the narration transmitted from ‘Urwah. Zuhri has narrated this narration from ‘Urwah from Sayyidah A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her), and in it are the words that the woman used to perform ghusl for every prayer. All of this is the statement of Imam Abu Dawood.
