Hadith 791

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، ثنا أَبُو مُوسَى ، قِرَاءَةً عَلَيْهِ ، نا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ تُسْتَحَاضُ ، فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا كَانَ دَمُ الْحَيْضِ فَإِنَّهُ دَمٌ أَسْوَدُ يُعْرَفُ ، فَإِذَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ فَأَمْسِكِي عَنِ الصَّلاةِ ، وَإِذَا كَانَ الآخَرُ فَتَوَضَّئِي وَصَلِّي فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ عِرْقٌ " . قَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى : هَكَذَا حَدَّثَنَاهُ ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ مِنْ أَصْلِ كِتَابِهِ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا بِهِ حِفْظًا ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ ، وَقَالَ : " فَإِذَا كَانَ الآخَرُ فَتَوَضَّئِي وَصَلِّي ".
Urwah narrates from Sayyidah Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh (may Allah be pleased with her): She was afflicted with istihada (non-menstrual bleeding). The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said to her: "When it is menstrual blood, it will be black blood that is recognized. When this blood appears, refrain from performing prayer, and when it is blood of another color, then perform ablution and offer prayer, for this is blood from another vein." In another narration, this is transmitted from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Fatimah bint Abi Hubaysh then narrated according to the established hadith. In this narration, the words of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) are transmitted: "When the blood is of another kind, then perform ablution and offer prayer."
