بَابٌ فِي مَاءِ الْبَحْرِChapter on Sea Water
Hadith 79

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْقَاضِي ، نا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، نا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، نا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلالٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ، عنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : " لَقَدْ ذُكِرَ لِي أَنَّ رِجَالا يَغْتَسِلُونَ مِنَ الْبَحْرِ الأَخْضَرِ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُونَ : عَلَيْنَا الْغُسْلُ مِنْ مَاءٍ غَيْرِهِ وَمَنْ لَمْ يُطَهِّرْهُ مَاءُ الْبَحْرِ لا طَهَّرَهُ اللَّهُ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Once it was mentioned before me that some people, after bathing in the sea of Khidr, say: It is obligatory upon us to bathe again with other water. (Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, said:) "Whoever is not purified by the water of the sea, may Allah not purify him."
