حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، نا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ مَاءِ الْبَحْرِ ، فَقَالَ : " هُوَ الطَّهُورُ مَاؤُهُ ، الْحِلُّ مَيْتَتُهُ " .
Imam Muhammad Baqir, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates from his father (Imam Zain al-Abidin, may Allah have mercy on him), who narrates from his father (Imam Husayn, may Allah be pleased with him), who narrates from Sayyiduna Ali, may Allah be pleased with him: It is reported that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the water of the sea, so he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Its water is pure and its dead (animals) are lawful."
