حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الصَّوَّافِ ، نا حَامِدٌ ، نا سُرَيْجٌ ، نا عَلِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ الضَّمْضَمِ ، عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " الْبَحْرُ مَاءٌ طَهُورٌ لِلْمَلائِكَةِ ، إِذَا نَزَلُوا تَوَضَّئُوا وَإِذَا صَعِدُوا تَوَضَّئُوا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: "The water of the sea is the ablution water of the angels; when they descend, they perform ablution with it, and when they ascend, they perform ablution with it."
