بَابُ الْمَاءِ الْمُتَغَيِّرِChanged Water

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، نا أَبُو سَيَّارٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَرْحٍ ، نا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، نا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْحِيَاضِ الَّتِي تَكُونُ فِيمَا بَيْنَ مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ : إِنَّ الْكِلابَ وَالسِّبَاعَ تَرِدُ عَلَيْهَا ، فَقَالَ : " لَهَا مَا أَخَذَتْ فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَنَا مَا بَقِيَ شَرَابٌ وَطَهُورٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about those ponds which are found at various places on the way between Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah. He was informed: Dogs and wild animals drink water from those ponds. So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whatever they take into their bellies belongs to them, and whatever remains is suitable and pure for us to drink.”
