Sayyiduna Qais bin Talq (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his father: I presented myself before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At that time, people were engaged in building the mosque of Madinah Munawwarah. The narrator states: People were transferring stones at that time. The narrator states: I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! Should I not do as these people are doing (i.e., transferring stones)?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No! Rather, you should make mortar for them, O people of Yamamah! For you are skilled in this." The narrator states: I made it for them, and the people began to carry it.
