Hadith 4813

نَا ابْنُ مُبَشِّرٍ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ ، نَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، نَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّفَرِ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، قَالَ : أَقْبَلْنَا مِنْ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ ، إِلا أَنَّهُ قَالَ : فَأَعْطُونَا جُعْلا ، فَقُلْتُ : حَتَّى أَسْأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ : " كُلْ " ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ.
Kharijah bin Salat narrates from his uncle that he went to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and then the hadith continues as previously mentioned, however, in this version, these words are present: They said, "Will you give us compensation for this?" So I said, "I will ask the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) about this first." I asked him, and he said, "You may eat it."
