بَابُ الْأَكْلِ مِنْ آنِيَةِ الْمُشْرِكِينَChapter on eating from the vessels of polytheists
Hadith 4806

نَا نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ ، نَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ ، عَنْ عَيْنٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا ذَبَحَ الْمُسْلِمُ فَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللَّهِ فَلْيَأْكُلْ فَإِنَّ الْمُسْلِمَ فِيهِ اسْمًا مِنْ أَسْمَاءِ اللَّهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) says: When a Muslim slaughters an animal and does not mention the name of Allah over it, he may eat it, because the word "Muslim" itself contains one of the names of Allah, the Exalted.
