حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُبَشِّرٍ ، نا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ بَيَانٍ ، نا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، وَعَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ عُرَيْنَةَ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِينَةَ فَاجْتَوَوْهَا ، فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنْ شِئْتُمْ خَرَجْتُمْ إِلَى إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ فَشَرِبْتُمْ مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا " ، فَفَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ وَصَحُّوا فَأَقْبَلُوا عَلَى الرُّعَاةِ فَقَتَلُوهُمْ ، وَاسْتَاقُوا ذَوْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَارْتَدُّوا عَنِ الإِسْلامِ ، فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي آثَارِهِمْ ، فَأُتِيَ بِهِمْ فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ ، وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ ، وَتُرِكُوا بِالْحَرَّةِ حَتَّى مَاتُوا .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Some people from the tribe of ‘Uraina came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in Madinah Munawwarah. The climate there did not suit them, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: “If you wish, go to the camels given in charity and drink their milk and urine.” They did so and became healthy. Then those people went to the shepherd of those camels, killed him, drove away the camels of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and abandoned Islam, becoming apostates. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent people after them. When they were caught and brought back, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had their hands and feet cut off, their eyes branded with hot irons, and then they were thrown on stony ground until they died in that state.
