حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ ، وَآخَرُونَ ، قَالُوا : نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَلامٍ الْعَطَّارُ ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُدَيْلٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : " بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، بُدَيْلَ بْنَ وَرْقَاءَ الْخُزَاعِيَّ عَلَى جَمَلٍ أَوْرَقَ يَصِيحُ فِي فِجَاجِ مِنًى : أَلا إِنَّ الذَّكَاةَ فِي الْحَلْقِ وَاللَّبَّةِ ، أَلا وَلا تَعْجَلُوا الأَنْفُسَ أَنْ تَزْهَقَ ، وَأَيَّامَ مِنًى أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ وَبِعَالٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Budeel bin Waraqa Khuza'i (may Allah be pleased with him) mounted on a camel so that he could announce in the pathways of Mina that slaughtering should be done at the throat and the upper part of the chest, and do not hasten in taking the life (of the animal), and that the days of Mina are days of eating, drinking, and spending time with wives.
