حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، نَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ ، نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا أُنْفِقَتِ الْوَرِقُ فِي شَيْءٍ أَفْضَلَ مِنْ نَحِيرَةٍ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever you spend of silver (i.e., money), the most virtuous thing to spend it on is sacrificing (an animal) on the day of Eid al-Adha."
