Hadith 4736

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ نَصْرٍ الدَّقَّاقُ ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، قَالا : نَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، نَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْنَا : " أَحَدُنَا يَنْحَرُ النَّاقَةَ ، أَوْ يَذْبَحُ الْبَقَرَةَ ، أَوِ الشَّاةَ فَيَجِدُ فِي بَطْنِهَا جَنِينًا فَيَأْكُلُهُ أَوْ يُلْقِيهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : فَقَالَ : كُلُوهُ إِنْ شِئْتُمْ ، إِنَّ ذَكَاتَهُ ذَكَاةُ أُمِّهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we said: A person slaughters a she-camel, or a cow, or a goat, and finds a fetus in its womb, so should he eat it or throw it away? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you wish, eat it, for the slaughtering of its mother is considered its slaughtering."
