حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْقَطَّانُ ، نَا عَبْدُ الْكَرِيمِ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الطَّبَّاعِ ، نَا فَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : كَانَتْ لَنَا شَاةٌ فَمَاتَتْ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا فَعَلَتْ شَاتُكُمْ ؟ ، قُلْنَا : مَاتَتْ ، قَالَ : أَفَلا انْتَفَعْتُمْ بِإِهَابِهَا ؟ ، قُلْنَا : إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ ، قَالَ : يَحِلُّ دِبَاغُهَا كَمَا يَحِلُّ خَلُّ الْخَمْرِ " ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ فَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، يَرْوِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَحَادِيثَ عِدَّةً لا يُتَابَعُ عَلَيْهَا.
Lady Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: We had a goat which died. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) inquired: "What happened to your goat?" We informed him that it had died. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Why do you not benefit from its skin?" We said: It is dead (carrion). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Its tanning makes it lawful, just as vinegar made from wine becomes lawful."
