حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، نَا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، نَا أَبِي ، نَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبَّادٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو طَلْحَةَ ، عَن أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ مَالٌ لِيَتَامَى فَاشْتَرَى بِهِ خَمْرًا ، قَالَ : فَنَزَلَ تَحْرِيمُ الْخَمْرِ ، قَالَ : وَمَا خَمْرُنَا يَوْمَئِذٍ إِلا مِنَ التَّمْرِ ، قَالَ : فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : " إِنَّهُ كَانَ عِنْدِي مَالُ يَتِيمٍ فَاشْتَرَيْتُ بِهِ خَمْرًا قَبْلَ أَنْ تُحَرَّمَ الْخَمْرُ ، فَأَمَرَنِي ، أَكْسِرُ الدِّنَانَ وَأُهْرِيقُهُ ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ كُلَّ ذَلِكَ يَأْمُرُنِي ، أَنْ أَكْسَرَ الدِّنَانَ وَأُهْرِيقَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) told me this: He had some wealth belonging to orphans, and he bought wine with it. Then the command regarding the prohibition of wine was revealed. The narrator says: In those days, our wine was made only from dates. The narrator says: I went to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I have some wealth belonging to orphans, and I have bought wine with it. This was before the command regarding wine was revealed. So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed me to break the vessels and pour out the wine. I came to you three times, and each time you instructed me to break the vessels and pour out the wine.
