حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ، نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْقَطَّانُ ، نَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، قَالَ : حَجَجْتُ مَعَ عُمَرَ حَجَّتَيْنِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنَّا لَنَشْرَبُ النَّبِيذَ ، لِيَقْطَعَ مَا فِي بُطُونِنَا مِنْ لُحُومِ الإِبِلِ أَنْ يُؤْذِيَنَا " .
Amr bin Maymun narrates that I performed Hajj twice with Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and I heard him say: We drink nabidh so that the meat present in our stomachs does not harm us (i.e., so that it is properly digested).
