قُرِئَ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ ، حَدَّثَكُمْ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الزَّنْجِيُّ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، نَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ فَأَطْعَمَهُ فَلْيَأْكُلْ مِنْ طَعَامِهِ وَلا يَسْأَلْهُ ، وَإِنْ سَقَاهُ شُرْبًا فَلْيَشْرَبْ مِنْ شَرَابِهِ وَلا يَسْأَلْهُ عَنْهُ ، وَإِنَّ خَشِيَ مِنْهُ فَلْيَكْسِرْهُ بِالْمَاءِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When a person goes to his Muslim brother and he offers him food, then the man should eat the food and not make any requests from him. If he offers him a drink, then he should drink it and not make any further requests from him. And if he has any concern about that drink, then he should add water to it and break his fast with it."
