نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ، نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي جُبَيْرٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ، نَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ الْفُرَاتِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، نَا هِشَامُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَاضِي الْيَمَنِ ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ " أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَجَرَ عَلَى مُعَاذٍ مَالَهُ ، وَبَاعَهُ فِي دَيْنٍ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ " .
The son of Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from his father that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prevented Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) from disposing of his wealth because of the debt that was due upon him, and had that wealth sold.
