نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ ، نَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لِلْجَارِ أَنْ يَضَعَ خَشَبَتَهُ عَلَى جِدَارِ جَارِهِ وَإِنْ كَرِهَ ، وَالطَّرِيقُ الْمِيتَاءُ سَبْعُ أَذْرُعٍ ، وَلا ضَرَرَ وَلا إِضْرَارَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A neighbor has the right to place his beam on his neighbor's wall, even if the other neighbor dislikes it, and the passageway for people is seven cubits. Neither harm shall be suffered nor harm shall be inflicted."
