Amr bin Shuraid narrates that Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) made a transaction with Sayyiduna Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him), or perhaps Sayyiduna Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him) made a transaction with Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him). So Sayyiduna Abu Rafi’ said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “The neighbor has more right to pre-emption in his neighborhood.” If I had not heard this, I would not have given you this place.
