Sufyan bin Abdullah narrates from his two uncles, Sayyiduna Ya'la and Sayyiduna Salamah, that we participated in the Battle of Tabuk with the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). There was also a man with us who lived in Mecca. He got into a fight with another person and bit the other’s arm forcefully. The other person pulled his hand out of his mouth, causing his two front teeth to break. He came to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) so that he could get compensation for him. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “A person goes to his brother and bites him like a bull, and then he comes to demand compensation for it? You will not get any right.” The narrator says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) let him go.
