نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا ، نَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ النَّسَائِيُّ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، نَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ عُمَرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ مَالا لَمْ أُصِبْ مِثْلَهُ قَطُّ ، وَكَانَ لَهُ مِائَةُ رَأْسٍ فَاشْتَرَيْتُ بِهَا مِائَةَ سَهْمٍ مِنْ خَيْبَرَ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا ، وَإِنِّي قَدْ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَتَقَرَّبَ بِهَا إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، قَالَ : فَاحْبِسْ أَصْلَهَا وَسَبِّلِ الثَّمَرَ " ، وَرَوَاهُ غَيْرُ شَيْخِنَا ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have acquired a piece of land such as I have never acquired before." (The narrator says:) Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had received one hundred shares. He says: I bought one hundred shares in Khaybar from its owners (i.e., I bought that much land), and I wish to attain closeness to Allah through it. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Withhold the original land and give its produce in the way of Allah."
