Hadith 4422

نَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ أَبُو يَحْيَى صَاعِقَةُ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، نَا أَبِي ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، مِثْلَهُ . وَزَادَ فِيهِ : قَالَ : فَجَعَلَهَا لأُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، وَحَسَّانَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، وَكَانَا أَقْرَبَ إِلَيْهِ مِنِّي .
The same narration is transmitted with another chain, however, in it these additional words are present: So Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) assigned it to Sayyiduna Ubayy ibn Ka'b and Sayyiduna Hassan ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), because these two gentlemen were closer relatives to Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) than I was.
