Amr bin Dinar narrates: A man asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): "Is the prohibition (of marriage) established through one or two instances of breastfeeding?" He replied: "I think that a foster sister becomes unlawful (for marriage)." Then a man said: "The Commander of the Faithful has stated (he meant Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair, may Allah be pleased with him) that prohibition is not established through one instance of breastfeeding." So Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "The decision of Allah Almighty is better than your decision and the decision of the Commander of the Faithful."
