باب الرَّضَاعُChapter on breastfeeding

نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْفَارِسِيُّ ، نَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أنا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَطَاءٌ : " تُحَرِّمُ مِنْهَا مَا قَلَّ وَمَا كَثُرَ " . قَالَ : وَقَالَ قَالَ : وَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَمَّا بَلَغَهُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ يَأْثُرُ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، " فِي الرَّضَاعِ أَنَّهُ لا يُحَرِّمُ مِنْهُ دُونَ سَبْعِ رَضَعَاتٍ ، قَالَ : قَوْلُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ، خَيْرٌ مِنْ قَوْلِ عَائِشَةَ ، إِنَّمَا قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : وَأَخَوَاتُكُمْ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ سورة النساء آية 23 ، وَلَمْ يَقُلْ : رَضْعَةً وَلا رَضْعَتَيْنِ " .
Ata reports: Even a little suckling establishes the same prohibition as much suckling does. Once, Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) learned that Abdullah bin Zubair was narrating from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said regarding suckling: prohibition is not established by less than seven sucklings. So Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: The word of Allah is better than the statement of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Allah the Exalted has said: "And your milk-suckling sisters." Allah the Exalted did not say one or two sucklings.
