Hadith 4385

نَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبَزَّازُ ، نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ ، نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَعَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ ، عَنْ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُسْلِمُ عَلَى يَدَيِ الرَّجُلِ ؟ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : هُوَ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِمَحْيَاهُ وَمَمَاتِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Tamim Dari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about a person who accepts Islam at the hand of another person. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "That person will be considered closer to him than all other people in his life and death."
