Qasim reports: A woman came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them), she had vowed to slaughter her son, so Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) ordered her to give expiation. Then one of those present said: "Subhan Allah! Will expiation be given for disobeying Allah Almighty?" So Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "Yes! Allah Almighty has mentioned zihar and has ordered expiation for it (so zihar is also disobedience to Allah Almighty, but expiation is given for it)."
