Hadith 4322

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَرَ ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْخَرَقِيُّ ، نَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، نَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ حَرْمَلَةَ ، أَنَّ رَجُلا سَأَلَ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، فَقَالَ : " إِنِّي قُلْتُ عَلَيَّ الْمَشْيِ إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ ، فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ : قُلْتَ عَلَيَّ نَذْرٌ ؟ ، قَالَ الرَّجُلُ : لا ، فَقَالَ : لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ شَيْءٌ " .
Ibn Harmalah narrates that a man asked Sa'id bin al-Musayyib, he said: "I have made a vow that I will walk to the House of Allah (the Ka'bah) on foot." So Sa'id said: "Did you use the word 'vow' (nadhar)?" He replied: "No!" So Sa'id said: "Nothing is obligatory upon you."
