نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدَانَ ، نَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، نَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : " وَإِذْ أَسَرَّ النَّبِيُّ إِلَى بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِهِ حَدِيثًا سورة التحريم آية 3 ، قَالَ : اطَّلَعَتْ حَفْصَةُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مَعَ أُمِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ ، فَقَالَ : لا تُخْبِرِي عَائِشَةَ، وَقَالَ لَهَا : إِنَّ أَبَاكِ وَأَبَاهَا سَيَمْلُكَانِ ، أَوْ سَيَلِيَانِ بَعْدِي فَلا تُخْبِرِي عَائِشَةَ ، فَانْطَلَقَتْ حَفْصَةُ فَأَخْبَرَتْ عَائِشَةَ فَأَظْهَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فَعَرَّفَ بَعْضَهُ وَأَعْرَضَ عَنْ بَعْضٍ ، قَالَ : أَعْرَضَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ : إِنَّ أَبَاكِ وَأَبَاهَا يَكُونَانِ بَعْدِي ، كَرِهَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَنْشُرَ ذَلِكَ فِي النَّاسِ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates regarding the statement of Allah Almighty: "And when the Prophet confided a matter to one of his wives." He says: Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) while he was with the mother of Ibrahim (Sayyidah Mariyah Qibtiyyah, may Allah be pleased with her). The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Do not tell Aishah about this." The Prophet (peace be upon him) also said to her: "Your father and her father will soon become rulers (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps the words are:) will rule after me, do not tell Aishah this." Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) went and told Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) about this, so Allah Almighty informed the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) about it, so he explained part of the matter and did not mention some of it. She mentioned this part: "Your father and her father will rule after me." The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) disliked this because he did not want this matter to spread among the people, and for this reason, he did not mention it.
