نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الدَّرَنِيُّ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْقُرَشِيُّ ، نَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، نَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَا حَقُّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ لَهُ مَالٌ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يُوصِيَ فِيهِ ، وَيَبِيتُ لَيْلَتَيْنِ ، إِلا وَوَصِيَّتُهُ مَكْتُوبَةٌ عِنْدَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not permissible for any Muslim who has wealth about which he wishes to make a bequest, that two nights should pass without his will being written and kept with him."
