نَا نَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ ، نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ ، نَا أَبِي ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ، قَالَ : " إِيَّاكُمْ وَأَصْحَابَ الرَّأْيِ ، فَإِنَّهُمْ أَعْدَاءَ السُّنَنِ ، أَعْيَتْهُمُ الأَحَادِيثُ أَنْ يَحْفَظُوهَا ، فَقَالُوا بِالرَّأْيِ ، فَضَلُّوا وَأَضَلُّوا " .
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Beware of those who follow their own opinions, for they will be the enemies of the Sunnah. They will not remember the hadiths and will issue rulings based on their own opinions. They will go astray and will lead others astray as well."
