نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ ، إِمْلاءً مِنْ كِتَابِهِ ، نَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ بَزِيعٍ ، سَنَةَ تِسْعٍ وَخَمْسِينَ وَمِائَتَيْنِ ، نَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ ، نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أُعْطِيتُ جَوَامِعَ الْكَلِمِ ، وَاخْتُصِرَ لِي الْحَدِيثُ اخْتِصَارًا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been given comprehensive words, so I convey complete meanings in concise words."
