نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ هَارُونَ بْنِ رُسْتُمَ ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الدَّقِيقِيُّ ، نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أنا بَقِيَّةُ ، نَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ بِيَمِينٍ ، وَهُوَ يَرَى أَنَّهُ سَيَبِرُّهُ فَلَمْ يَفْعَلْ ، فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِي لَمْ يَبِرَّهُ " .
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever takes an oath regarding something, thinking that he will fulfill it, and then is unable to do so, then its sin will be upon the one who did not let him fulfill it."
