Hadith 4229

نَا ابْنُ مُبَشِّرٍ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ ، ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أنا شَرِيكٌ ، عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ وَلَدَتْ مِنْهُ أَمَةٌ فَهِيَ حُرَّةٌ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَوْتِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a man's slave-girl gives birth to his child, then after that man's death, that slave-girl will be considered free."
