Hadith 4228

نَا نَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، نَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، نَا وُهَيْبٌ ، نَا أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْجَسْرِيِّ ، عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا اشْتَرَيْتُ مُحَرَّرًا فَلا تَشْتَرِطَنَّ لأَحَدٍ فِيهِ عِتْقًا فَإِنَّهَا عُقْدَةٌ مِنَ الرِّقِّ " .
Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Yasar (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "When you buy a slave who has been set free, do not stipulate the condition that he will set him free, because this is a knot of slavery."
