حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ النَّيْسَابُورِيُّ ، نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ صَخْرٍ ، نَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ ، نَا هَمَّامٌ ، نَا عَبَّاسٌ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، نَا عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ كَاتَبَ عَلَى مِائَةِ أُوقِيَّةٍ فَأَدَّاهَا إِلا عَشَرَةَ أَوَاقٍ فَهُوَ عَبْدٌ ، وَأَيُّمَا عَبْدٍ كَاتَبَ عَلَى مِائَةِ دِينَارٍ فَأَدَّاهَا إِلا عَشَرَةَ دَنَانِيرَ فَهُوَ عَبْدٌ " ، وَقَالَ الْمُقْرِئُ ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ ، عَنْ عَبَّاسٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ.
Amr ibn Shu'ayb narrates from his father, from his grandfather, that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever enters into a contract of manumission for one hundred uqiyyah and pays all except ten uqiyyah, then that person will still be considered a slave. And if a slave enters into a contract of manumission for one hundred dinars and pays all except ten dinars, then he will also be considered a slave (i.e., he will not be free until the full payment is made)."
